Exciting news! I was awarded an Honourable Mention for my work Flat Iron Building NYC. This Spring Exhibition is at the Ottawa Little Theatre until April 30, 2016.
Recent shows
This is a busy season for art shows. I am fortunately in several venues across the city and beyond.
My work Manhattan Canyons, NYC was selected by the jury for the International Art Exhibition at the Fredric Remington Museum in Ogdensburg, New York, USA. The show continues until January, 2016.
Arteast Holiday Mix at the St Laurent Complex has two of my works on display: Winter Sparkle and Autumn in the City, NYC. This show features small format works of 12″ square.
Promenade Arteast at the Shenkman Arts Centre features the winners from the 2014 Arteast Juried Awards Exhibition. My work Uptown Park, NYC was a first prize winner last year and will be displayed until January, 2016
I have work at both campuses of the Ottawa School of Art for their Holiday Fund Raiser. All the works in the boutique have now been sold, but there are still a couple of replacements in the galleries. This is a very worthy cause. I had the honour and privilege to tutor cellist Julian Armour for this fundraiser. Julian took time from his busy schedule to come to my studio to produce his mixed media piece The Agora Antique Store ( haunted??). He was accompanied by his son Francis who also produced a painting.
Ottawa Art Association at the Ottawa Little Theatre has its regular show of work by member artists. Coastal Map-Coming to Canada is hung there.
Recent Awards
I was awarded a Third Place in the Arteast Juried Awards Exhibition for 2015 for Elevated Escape, NYC. This was in the Mixed Media Category.
At the Ottawa School of Art annual Holiday fund raiser, My work Trees in Manhattan, NYC was chosen for the “Henry’s Award”.
Art Credo
I have three works in this upcoming show:
Art Credo presents the 39th Exhibition and Sale of over 100 original works by 60 local artists. The Exhibition runs for 2 week from 18th April to 3rd May, 2015. Free admission. Open every day, noon to 6pm, Thursday and Friday until 8pm, at St John the Evangelist Church, Somerset at Elgin Street.
Arteast Juried Awards Show
My prize winning work, Sunday Morning, 34th St., NYC is in the Award winners Show on the Arteast Promenade Wall at the Shenkman Arts Centre, 255 Centrum Blvd. Orleans, ON. Until January 2015.
Old Stick Cooperative Studio Show
Old Stick Studios and Robert Murrell Studio will present an Artist Open House/Vernissage, at 5470 Canotek Road, unit 30 (upstairs), on Saturday, November 22, 1 to 5 p.m., and Sunday, November 23, 1 to 5 p.m., 2014.

Ottawa Folklore Centre
I’ll be presenting My Manhattan Project at the Ottawa Folklore Centre, 1111 Bank Street in Ottawa, from November 3, 2014 to January 5, 2015.

Ottawa Art Association Juried show
Exciting news! My work The Bowery Mission was awarded 2nd prize in the Other Media category at the Ottawa Art Association juried show.
Comments by the Jury were:
Quirky and well executed, good depth and interesting use of mixed media. They liked the controlled palette.
Art Credo
Art Credo is the annual show of sacred art and contemplative art at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, corner of Somerset and Elgin in centre town.
The Vernissage and sale is Friday night, April 25 2014, from 7 til’ 9 pm. The show and sale runs every day Afternoons and a few evenings from April 25 to May 11.
I have shown work in this show for over twenty years. Hope to see you there.
Arteast Mosiacs at Trinity Art Gallery
Exciting news! Two of my recent works have been juried into the Arteast “Mosiacs” show at the Trinity Art Gallery located at the Shenkman Arts Centre, 245 Centrum Boulevard in Ottawa.
The Vernissage is Sunday, February 16, 2014, from 1-3.
This will be in conjunction with Beaus Brewery which will be hosting the “Meet the Artist ” Winterlude Event. Hope you can come and enjoy the atmosphere and see my work.
The Mosiacs Show runs until March 18.
